Mr. Rappaport is the President of Rappaport Arts & Entertainment, Inc., and its divisions, A Top New York Label and Rappaport Bros. Publishing (BMI).
The Music
Richard Warren Rappaport is a professional producer, publisher, songwriter and recording artist.
A member of a celebrated extended musical family, Mr. Rappaport collaborated with his brothers, Robert (Bob) Lawrence Rappaport and Bruce Alan Rappaport and would often sing with his cousins John Spirt and Steve Rappaport.
Bob, Steve and John comprised the famous pop music group known as The Ran-Dells, who performed the 60’s Platinum Smash Hit, “The Martian Hop,” under the guidance of the legendary Don Kirshner and Screen Gems Columbia Publishing, and produced by Steve Rappaport.

As a performer, producer and BMI composer and publisher under Rappaport Arts & Entertainment, Inc., Mr. Rappaport has released “Sail Into The Sun” and “Great Rock ‘N’ Roll” as well as “Louisiana Way.”
“Sail Into The Sun” was released in September 2008 in a national promotion and reached a position of 20 nationally on the Friday Morning Quarterback adult contemporary chart.
“Louisiana Way was performed in the soundtrack of the CBS Television Movie of the Week “The Madams Family: The Truth About The Canal Street Brothel.” The song was subsequently nominated for consideration for an Emmy for soundtrack music within the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
When “Great Rock ‘N’ Roll” was first released, Mr. Rappaport was interviewed in an article titled “Attorney of Record,” in Washingtonian Magazine. The recording first received airplay under steady rotation in the Philadelphia radio market and was given distribution with Universal Distribution, Philadelphia.
“Great Rock ‘N’ Roll” has also been featured as soundtrack music for the “Hello Hollywood” television program, hosted by Rene’ Katz, which aired on WHDT Television, West Palm Beach.
An experienced performer, Mr. Rappaport has been featured at special benefit concerts at the prestigious Broward Center for the Performing Arts, Ft. Lauderdale, and the University of Miami, Coral Gables and co-hosted the Steinway/BMI Music & Arts Showcases in Coral Gables.

Both productions were originally recorded at Track Studios, Silver Spring, Maryland, and engineered by Mark Greenhouse and Bill McCullough, Greenhouse-McCullough Productions, Washington, D.C. The original master mixes on both compositions were completed by Mr. Greenhouse at Track Studios and the recordings were mastered at Masterphonics, Nashville. The release was distributed for A Top New York Label by Universal Distribution, Philadelphia.
When the decision was made to re-release both songs, the productions were then digitally re-mastered at New River Studios, Ft. Lauderdale, and Crescent Moon Studios, Miami, and were engineered and mixed by the legendary producer Tom Dowd at The L. Austin Weeks Center For Recording and Performance at the University of Miami, Coral Gables, Florida. The songs were then re-mastered at Sprockets Music and Fuller Sound, Miami.
